Bride-to-be Juliet thought she was just helping out her friend Laura of Ashton Events with this super cute “elopement shoot,” photographed by Penny & Finn. So imagine her surprise when it turned into a real-life proposal by her future groom Dave. (Sneaky, sneaky!) Laura says, Juliet has a great styling eye, and I knew I could convince her to help me with a photo shoot while she was in town.  I contacted her about the “elopement shoot” I was working on, told her I was in desperate need of hands, and she agreed to help. At one point, I “realized” I forgot ice for the Champagne bucket and asked Juliet to run to the grocery store to grab a bag. While she was away, Dave drove up, placed the letter on the table, and hid behind a tree as the rest of the team swapped out the nametags on the chairs to read “Mr. David Lapham” and “Mrs. Juliet Lapham,” and started playing music from a hidden iPod dock. How’s that for a romantic setup?

Hey, that faux stationary would have had us fooled too.

And here it comes… That Dave is one sneaky fellow.
